It is easy to see why Maria is loved by so many!

Best Locations For Growing Maria Aglaonema

Maria Chinese Evergreen tolerates lower-light conditions, making it perfect for any area in the home except where there is direct sunlight. Add Maria to your bedroom or family room, or take it to the office or any room where cleaner air is desired.

Maria Aglaonema Sunlight Requirements

Maria requires access to bright light or fluorescent lighting. Keep this plant out of direct sunlight to avoid damaging leaves. East-facing windows provide welcomed morning sun.

Maria Aglaonema Plant Care

Well-drained soil is optimal. When planting, use a potting soil with added perlite and sand. Pruning is rarely required; when it is, trim leaves from their base. Repot Maria in the spring when desired. Start with a 6-inch pot and increase by one to two inches as necessary.

Watering Maria Aglaonema

This plant's soil should be moist at all times. The Maria Chinese Evergreen has moderate water needs. Be sure not to over-water, as this can cause root rot.

Feeding Maria Aglaonema

Apply a slow-release fertilizer monthly during the growing season.
