Low Maintenance

The Merry Arrowhead Plant, also known as Syngonium ‘Merry’ and ‘Merry Maria’, is a richly colored vining plant that is native to Central and South America. This plant is grown for its attractive foliage. It has thin, heart-shaped leaves that range in color from dark green to blush red. The Merry Arrowhead plant is a great low-maintenance option for your home or office. They tolerate low light and periods of dryness.

Best Locations For Growing Merry Arrowhead Plant

This is an ideal plant for growing in medium to bright indirect light. Place this plant near an east- or west-facing window, or a few feet away from a southern window.

Merry Arrowhead Plant Sunlight Requirements

Bright, indirect sunlight is recommended for the Merry Arrowhead Plant. Direct sunlight will scorch the plant’s thin leaves, causing them to brown.

Merry Arrowhead Plant Care

Rich, well-draining potting soil with added perlite is perfect for growing this plant. Arrowhead vines are very forgiving, and are able to tolerate low-light and low-water conditions for brief periods of time. To maintain the rich blush coloration, place this plant in bright indirect sunlight. The Merry Arrowhead Plant is an excellent choice for beginners as it’s easy to care for and is fast growing. Note that arrowhead plants are poisonous when ingested, so keep this plant up away from pets and small children.

Watering Merry Arrowhead Plant

Water this plant when the top two inches of soil are dry, or about every 2 weeks.

Feeding Merry Arrowhead Plant

Arrowhead vines should be fertilized only once per month. During the growing season, fertilize with an all-purpose fertilizer diluted to one-quarter of the manufacturer’s recommended dosage.
