How to Use the Self-Watering System
Unlike many other LECHUZA planters, OJO uses a special watering stick that works directly with your plant's existing nursery pot. No repotting or additional LECHUZA-PON substrate is needed.
- Choose Your Plant: Select a small houseplant in a compatible nursery pot, approximately 4–5 inches wide.
- Insert the Watering Stick: Push the included irrigation stick through a suitable drainage opening in the bottom of the nursery pot, following the instructions.
- Place the Plant in OJO: Set the nursery pot and watering stick into the decorative planter. No transplanting is necessary.
- Fill the Reservoir: Add water according to LECHUZA's instructions. The eyes turn blue when the reservoir is full.
- Monitor Your Plant: Check the water level and soil moisture, allowing appropriate drying intervals before refilling.
Important: OJO is intended for indoor use. Watering frequency varies with the plant, temperature, sunlight, and soil conditions. The planter helps simplify watering but does not eliminate the need to check plant health.
