Bring a touch of the tropics to your home with this lovely South African native plant. The Pink Calla Lily is a lovely addition to your windowsill and will surely liven up the room. Its unique pink, teardrop-shaped flowers will bloom indoors from spring into fall. It also provides beautiful foliage throughout the entire year.

Best Locations For Growing Pink Calla Lily

The Pink Calla Lily is a great addition to a sunny windowsill. This plant is poisonous to humans and other animals, so it should be kept away from children and pets.

Pink Calla Lily Sunlight Requirements

Calla lilies are tropical plants and love plenty of sun. Set your plant in an area that receives bright indirect light for best results. An east or west window is perfect.

Pink Calla Lily Care

Standard potting soil works well for this plant. Just avoid putting it in soils that have an unbalanced pH or too much fertilizer. When it comes time to repot, dig the plant out of the soil, including the entire bulb. Replant the bulb with its shoots pointing up at least three inches below the soil line. Cover and water once. Do not water again until you spot new growth.

Your Pink Calla Lily should be kept in a room between 60-80 degrees Fahrenheit. It will go dormant if temperatures drop below 50 F.

Watering Pink Calla Lily

Your Pink Calla Lily loves water. Outdoors, they grow best on the edges of ponds and in the mud. That means your indoor Calla Lily will prefer to be kept moist at all times. However, never allow water to sit in the container, as that will cause the bulb to rot. This plant does well with normal room humidity as long as the soil is kept moist.

Feeding Pink Calla Lily

Fertilize your lily when you first plant it and at the beginning of the spring. This will help your Calla Lily flower throughout the growing season. Choose any well-balanced fertilizer, but avoid blends that are nitrogen heavy because they can hinder flowering.
