The absolutely stunning flowers are plenty of reason to include Red Little Lucky™ Lantana in your plantings, but the relatively easy-care requirements and sweet fragrance of the blooms certainly make this perennial an enticing addition. Tiny flowers grow clusters that feature a striking ombre fade with vibrant red, orange, and yellow blooms. The Lantana camara 'Balluced' continues to bloom throughout the growing season, ensuring you will have plenty of opportunities to admire this beauty. Red Little Lucky™ Lantana grows as a perennial in USDA zones 10 through 11.
The bright green foliage has serrated edges and is dense and compact, making this plant an excellent option as a filler in a container. This plant can also be used in borders, mass plantings, or landscapes. Lantana is tolerant of heat and humidity, so it can easily handle the sometimes challenging summer conditions in the south. This plant is deciduous and will lose its leaves during the winter.
Red Little Lucky™ Lantana Plant Care
This plant needs at least 6 hours of sunlight each day to thrive. The Red Little Lucky™ Lantana has low watering needs. Newly planted Lantana will need water when the top several inches of the soil dry out, but established plants only need water when the soil around the plant completely dries out. Use well-draining soil that is rich and slightly acidic.
Feed the plant using a balanced fertilizer each spring or top-dress the soil with organic compost. Remove spent flowers and overgrowth as necessary, but this plant generally does not require much pruning.
Red Little Lucky™ Lantana Plant Spacing
This Lantana will grow as wide as it is tall and end up about 10 to 12 inches in all directions. Space plants up to 8 inches apart to create a dense mass planting or spread them out to let each plant have its own area.
