The Revolution Sweet Bell Pepper is an outstanding hybrid that develops large peppers up to 4 inches long and wide. These thick-walled, red and green fruits are ideal for stuffing but are equally good when eaten raw. Maturing in as few as 72 days, fruits are harvestable from midsummer onwards depending on planting time. Revolution has good disease resistance and will even fruit in colder weather.

Revolution Sweet Bell Pepper Plant Care

Peppers are tender plants and should not be placed outside until all risk of frost has gone and the soil warmed up. Revolution Sweet Bell Pepper Plant thrives in a warm spot where it will receive full sun; a south-facing and sheltered spot is where it likes to be. When planting this pepper out as a row, it can be spaced at a distance of 18 to 24 inches.

Growing Revolution Sweet Bell Pepper Plant

The Revolution Sweet Bell Pepper Plant tends to reach a maximum size of 18-24 inches. If given the right growing conditions, harvestable fruits can be picked in 72 days. This sweet pepper is suitable for growing outside when the soil temperature is above 65°F, or kept in a greenhouse or polytunnel.

Perfectly suited to growing in containers, the Revolution Sweet Bell Pepper Plant requires a minimum pot size of around 12 inches across. A fertile and free-draining potting mix is necessary for this pepper to grow well.

Watering Revolution Sweet Bell Pepper Plant

Sweet pepper plants prefer to be watered little and often to keep the soil moist. When grown in a pot or container, peppers need to be watered more frequently than those grown in the ground.

Feeding Revolution Sweet Bell Pepper Plant

When grown in fertile soil, Revolution Sweet Bell Pepper generally doesn’t require any extra fertilizer. However, to give it a boost and to encourage its fruits, a fertilizer high in potassium and phosphorus can be applied every 2 weeks once the first flowers form.
