Peperomias are tropical plants with specific care needs but are relatively easy to grow. The Ripple Peperomia or Peperomia caperata is a stunner that boasts green foliage with deep furrows or wrinkles, creating a unique textured look. This compact, clump-forming, leafy plant has an upright growth habit. The charming Ripple Peperomia makes a wonderful addition to a desktop or end table, where its striking foliage can be admired.

Best Locations For Growing Ripple Peperomia

The pet-friendly Ripple Peperomia is not picky and can adapt to most growing conditions. Varying amounts of sunlight and humidity are fine by the Peperomia. Expect the best results when placed in a warm spot with average humidity and lots of sunlight.

Ripple Peperomia Sunlight Requirements

Peperomia enjoys lots of sunlight, so select a spot that receives bright indirect sunlight. This plant can grow in lower light, but at a slower rate.

Ripple Peperomia Care

Peperomias prefer warm conditions, which is why they are sometimes known as radiator plants. In nature, Peperomia grows on the floor of the rainforest, so this is a plant that likes warm weather and does not do well in cold temperatures. Avoid placing the plant near vents, especially for air conditioning, and avoid locations near exterior doors.

Watering Ripple Peperomia

Water the Ripple Peperomia when the soil is slightly damp. Feel the soil to determine the moisture level to ensure the plant does not dry out too much.

Feeding Ripple Peperomia

Routine feedings support new growth and keep the Ripple Peperomia bushy. Fertilizing the plant also increases the odds of it blooming. Use a water-soluble, balanced fertilizer and feed the plant monthly while it is actively growing.
