Sure to brighten up a dull shady spot, this double impatient will wow all spring and summer long. Medium in height averaging 15 inches, it will easily spread up to 24 inches. Its mounding habit combined with its miniature rose-like blooms is a sight to see!
Easy to care for, Rockapulco® Orange Double makes life easy. Don’t even lift a finger, because no deadheading is needed. It just keeps blooming and blooming! This plant works wonders as a filler when combined with a thriller and spiller when used in a container. Imagine a sea of orange beauty under a forest edge, or invigorate a shady spot next to a relaxing hammock.
Rockapulco® Orange Impatiens Care
This is a great plant for the shade and it can take as little as 4 hours of sunlight daily. Trim back any time to keep the shape compact and promote more branching but it is not necessary. Plant in soil that is well-draining and organically rich, to promote consistent moisture. To lock in the moisture, topdress soil with 2 inches of mulch in the landscape. Container plants tend to need more frequent fertilizing, so apply a slow-release fertilizer or compost at initial planting and supplement fertilizing when needed.
Rockapulco® Orange Double are outdoor annuals in zones 9 and below. These plants cannot tolerate frost. Typically overwintering indoors is not recommended.
Rockapulco® Orange Impatiens Spacing
Give Impatiens Rockapulco Orange a 10 to 12-inch space between plants in the landscape. In containers, space plants at least 6 inches apart. Use at least a 12-inch hanging basket or 14-inch pot when planting in containers for maximum results.
