The blooms overtake the plant, but ovate green foliage with serrated edges peak in between some of the flowers, providing additional color and texture.
Select a shady area of your landscape or outdoor space for the Rockapulco® Tropical Shades Double Impatiens. These Impatiens will shine in beds or borders. The low, spreading growth habit makes this plant an excellent choice for a mixed bed. Enjoy a stunning mass planting that will provide consistent color throughout the growing season. Feature the Rockapulco® Tropical Shades Double Impatiens as a filler in a container.
Rockapulco® Tropical Shades Double Impatiens Care
Partial to full shade is best for this cultivar. Plant it in fertile, moist, well-drained soil, and keep the soil damp but not waterlogged or dry. Fertilize every few weeks to support continued blooming.
Deadheading is not required for the Rockapulco® Tropical Shades Double Impatiens to rebloom, although removing spent flowers will maintain a tidy appearance. Trim leggy growth about halfway through the summer.
Rockapulco® Tropical Shades Double Impatiens Spacing
Rockapulco® Tropical Shades Double Impatiens stand 10 to 20 inches tall and 12 to 24 inches wide. Space Impatiens 10 to 12 inches apart to create a dense, carpet-like planting. Three or four plants can comfortably live in a 12-inch container.
