- Beautiful white flowers for shade gardens!
The gorgeous double while blossoms produced by Impatiens Rockapulco White will remind you of miniature roses. It will brighten up any shady or partially shady area of your garden from spring to frost. These impatiens will grow to spread between 12 and 24 inches with a height of 10 to 20 inches in a symmetrical mounded habit.
Impatiens walleriana can be used in the landscape or as the filler role in a container. It will look great in mass plantings or as a border plant in your garden. Combine it with a trailing and a thriller plant to create a gorgeous container garden. It will also look great alone in a container due to its profusion of bloom. This plant won a top performer award in both 2008 and 2010. It will thrive in humid, deep shade.
Rockapulco® White Impatiens Care
Impatiens Rockapulco White has average moisture and soil fertility requirements. Add compost or fertilizer to garden beds before planting. Fertilize container gardens regularly as directed on the package for best performance. Deadheading and pruning are not necessary. Trim them back if they grow taller than you’d like them to be. You may want to remove spent flowers to keep the plants tidy looking.
This impatien may survive indoors as a houseplant because of its low light preference. Be sure to bring it indoors before your first frost. It is hardy in USDA planting zones 10 and 11.
Rockapulco® White Impatiens Spacing
Space plants 10 to 12 inches apart in your garden to give them room to spread. You may space slightly closer in a container garden.
