Royal Hyacinth Trio Bulbs creates a polished display with three coordinated flower colors and strong spring fragrance. Hyacinthus orientalis ‘Pink Pearl’, ‘White Pearl’, and ‘Woodstock’ (25 total bulbs) combine soft pink, clean white, and deep purple flower spikes packed densely with bell-shaped florets. Plants reach about 8 to 12 inches tall and bloom in early to mid spring above upright green foliage. This trio is just lovely near an entry walk, where the fragrance is noticeable each time you pass and the three colors can be appreciated together.

Hyacinths are perennial bulbs with substantial flower spikes that return in USDA zones 4 to 9 when grown in suitable conditions. Their compact height works well at the front of formal beds, between emerging perennials, in small groups before evergreen shrubs, or as cut flowers for indoor arrangements. Bees and other early pollinators visit the blooms, but deer generally avoid hyacinths. Window boxes and patio containers are also good options for keeping the flowers and fragrance close to outdoor living areas.

Royal Hyacinth Trio Bulbs Care

Grow in full sun to partial shade in fertile, well-drained loamy or sandy soil, or amended clay that drains. Plant bulbs about 6 inches deep with the pointed end facing upward. A slightly acidic to neutral soil pH is suitable.

Water after planting in the fall to settle the soil. Provide moisture during active spring growth when the upper soil begins to dry. Reduce irrigation once the leaves start yellowing and the bulbs enter dormancy. Apply a balanced bulb fertilizer as shoots emerge in spring to support flowering and future bulb growth.

Remove faded flower spikes after bloom but leave the green leaves until they yellow naturally. Once the foliage has fully declined, it can be removed at the base. Wear gloves when handling bulbs if your skin is sensitive, since hyacinth bulbs can cause irritation.

Royal Hyacinth Trio Bulbs Spacing

Space bulbs about 3 to 6 inches apart in garden beds, or group several closely for a denser block of spring color. For containers and window boxes, use a vessel at least 8 inches deep with open drainage holes and space bulbs about 2 to 3 inches apart. Protect exposed containers from severe winter temperature swings in the colder end of the hardiness range.

Royal Hyacinth Trio Bulbs Companion Plants

Coral bells make a useful perennial partner because their low foliage surrounds the hyacinths after emergence and remains attractive once the flower spikes have finished. Euonymus shrubs can provide an evergreen or semi-evergreen background that gives the purple, pink, and white flowers a steady visual frame in spring beds. In containers, bacopa can trail over the rim beneath the upright hyacinth spikes and performs well in the cool conditions common during the hyacinth bloom season.
