Being on the slightly smaller size of the rose scale, Silas Marner® Rose also makes a great choice for containers. The rose has disease-resistant foliage and is hardy from zone 4 - 11. Silas Marner® Rose flowers from May - September and makes an amazing cut flower.

Deadhead spent flowers of Silas Marner® Rose to keep the plant reblooming. Pruning is an important maintenance task for the care of roses because it helps to eliminate disease as well as encourage new growth. Prune weak canes or old woody growth in the wintertime, and reduce the height of the rose by half.
For container care, plant this shrub in a generous-sized pot to accommodate the root ball and ensure the pot has good drainage. Place the container in a location that receives 5 - 6 hours of full sun a day with good airflow. Water the base of your potted rose plant thoroughly in the mornings, avoiding contact with the foliage.
