Did we mention the fragrance? Masses of vanilla-scented flowers reaching 10-16 inches high pop against dark green foliage that can extend two to four feet. Bred for extra heat tolerance and longer bloom time, this award-winning sterile cultivar is super-vigorous and will perform with gusto throughout the summer with even moisture.

This Lobularia makes an excellent easy-care annual groundcover in the landscape or trailing container choice in window baskets or containers as a uniquely thrilling “spiller” for full to part sun. The sweet blossoms attract bees and butterflies, so it’s a great player pick for your pollinator garden, moon garden, or sensory garden.

Snow Princess® Sweet Alyssum Care

‘Snow Princess’ thrives in part sun to sun, well-drained, evenly moist soil. In containers, slow-release fertilizer at planting, followed by balanced water-soluble fertilizer from mid-summer on, according to product directions, will keep the show going until a hard frost. Deadheading is not necessary, but pruning, if desired, is easily done with scissors or pruning shears.

In the landscape, give ‘Snow Princess’ room to spread, at least 18-24 inches apart. In a container, allow 10-12 inches. As a trailer, ‘Snow Princess’ may spill down up to 24 inches. Choose planting companions that match its high vigor, like Supertunia ®, Superbena®, or Superbells®. And, of course, make sure to place it where you can enjoy a daily swoon from/dose of that delicious fragrance.
