Welcome in the sunshine and flip flops! Suncredible® Yellow Sunflower Helianthus hybrid is the quintessential addition to summer fun! Sunflowers just radiate with beauty. With 4 inch blooms, the cheery, yellow petals surround a perfectly symmetrical brown center. The green branching stems and leaves create a dense bushy upright habit that gives way to a multitude of sunny faces. Medium in height, this sunflower reaches up to 36 inches. It will spread up to 32 inches. Helianthus has prolific blooms that last all Spring, Summer, and Fall.

This sunflower has so many perks. It is deer resistant, heat and drought tolerant, disease-resistant, and a North American native. Don’t forget that bees and butterflies adore Helianthus too!. When used in containers, this plant works wonders as a thriller. Sunflowers always look stunning in a bouquet. Sure to brighten any day, use Helianthus to create that perfect focal point in an indoor or outdoor space.

Suncredible® Yellow Sunflower Care

Suncredible® Yellow Sunflower thrives in full sun and requires 6 or more hours of sunlight daily. This plant is easy going and has average water and soil needs. It does best in soils rich in organic matter, but it can also tolerate poor soil and with fewer blooms. Ensure soils are well-draining and moist, but once established, it can tolerate periods of drought. Apply a slow-release fertilizer in the early spring and in mid-summer to keep blooms bountiful.

Treat Helianthus as an annual. It will last from spring planting until hard frost. Overwintering in colder zones is not recommended. It is hardy to zones 9 to 11.

Suncredible® Yellow Sunflower Spacing

Allow an 18 to 24-inch space between plants when adding Helianthus to a container or in the landscape. A 14-inch pot is ideal. Allow at least a 6-inch gap between plants when applying it to a container.

    American Goldfinches love my Suncredible...

Posted by Marilee Schuhrke on Jun 04, 2023

I LOVE the Suncredible Yellow Sunflower plants I ordered from Plant Addicts. American Goldfinches love to eat the flowers. Since so many flowers are produced at the same time, there are still enough yellow flowers to add color to my garden.

    Has...

Posted by Matt Gerhardt on May 19, 2023

I bought two of these in 2022 and they did great in my yard in Northern California. They produced blooms for many months. I bought two more this year (2023) and planted them 5 days ago. The leaves are brown now. I may have put too much fertilizer in the holes. One plant has new leaves forming so it's bouncing back. I can't tell with the other. I think they were hearty when shipped, but Fed Ex took its time delivering them. The FedEx driver lied and said he had attempted delivery one day. My doorbell camera has no evidence of any attempt, and I was home at the time. Consequently the plants rode around on a truck an extra day. He delivered them the next day and pretended not to understand me when I asked why he hadn't delivered them the previous day. I think Plant Addicts should use UPS or USPS, not FedEx.

    Great customer...

I ordered 2 plants and both of them were delivered upside down by my FedEx driver. Both plants were destroyed beyond saving. I contacted customer service via chat and explained what happened. They have agreed to send out two new plants to replace the two FedEx ruined. I have received one so far and it came perfectly and it has been planted for a week or so and is doing great so far! I highly recommend them simply based off the customer service!
