  • Height 16-30 Inches
  • Width 14-20 Inches
  • Use as a filler when using in containers
  • Perfect for intense sunny days!

Perfectly pink! Unlike regular impatiens, SunPatiens® is better suited for the sunniest of spots. SunPatiens® Compact Royal Magenta has green leaves and magenta pink blooms that last all Summer and Fall seasons. It has a mounding upright habit that can reach 16 to 30 inches in height. It will spread only 14 to 20 inches, so it works great in both the landscape and containers.

This sun-loving annual soaks up the sun. This impatient hybrid was bred with parental lineage native to Indonesia and New Guinea so it thrives in the summer heat. SunPatiens® work well as fillers in containers. Get creative designing a raised bed that expresses your inner girl power or make a combination planter to match that magenta accent patio pillow you want to show off.

SunPatiens® Compact Royal Magenta Impatiens Care

Give this plant full sun to part sun, ensure that the soil is moist, and fertilize it regularly. After that sit back and enjoy Summer. No trimming is required either. Just apply fertilizer or compost to garden beds and apply a water-soluble fertilizer weekly at half strength for prolific blooms.

Sunpatiens cannot tolerate frost and are only hardy to subtropical zones like 10 and 11. Enjoy 1 full growing season outdoors and try another Sunpatien variety next Spring.

SunPatiens® Compact Royal Magenta Impatiens Spacing

Allow at least 6 inches of space between SunPatiens® and use a 14 inch or larger container when planting this plant in pots. When planting in the landscape, give these plants room to grow. Ideally, 12 to 24 inches between plants is best.

    Healthy But Cold Damage from...

Posted by Susan Womack on May 12, 2022

Plants are healthy and seem to be doing well except for tips of leaves that suffered cold damage during shipment. We are having a very cold wet spring. Hopefully the plants will survive in my garage until our below freezing night time temperatures end.
