SunPatiens® Red Candy Impatiens

The blooms appear from planting up until the first frost. Impressive weather tolerance makes this impatiens a snap to grow. It reaches a mature height of 12 to 32 inches. 

The SunPatiens® Red Candy Impatiens has been specifically bred to be tolerant of severe weather and resistant to disease. Impatiens are typically grown as an annual and considered hardy down to USDA zone 10. Red Candy naturally forms a neat mound of dark green-bronze foliage and is perfect for a container or growing at the front of a bed or border. 

SunPatiens® Red Candy Impatiens Care

The SunPatiens® Red Candy Impatiens is amazingly adaptable and can cope with both sun and shade. As with other impatiens, it favors a slightly acidic and fertile substrate that is kept moist, so regular irrigation is a must. Reblooming can be encouraged by fertilizing with an all-purpose liquid feed every two weeks during the growing season. Deadheading is not required. 

The SunPatiens® Red Candy Impatiens is commonly grown as an annual plant. However, you can overwinter it indoors by bringing it inside before nighttime temperatures drop below 50 degrees F. 

SunPatiens® Red Candy Impatiens Spacing

The SunPatiens® Red Candy Impatiens grows to 12 to 32 inches tall and 12 to 26 inches across. Multiple plants can be spaced from 12 to 22 inches apart depending on the desired effect when mature.
