The Superbells® Double Smitten Pink Calibrachoa is a beautiful trailing plant that is easy to maintain. This Calibrachoa hybrid boasts tiny, petunia-like blooms. What the flowers lack in size, they make up for with their double petals, giving them a full appearance. The bright shade of fuchsia is lovely, but the dark eye with hints of golden yellow gives the flowers a dramatic look. This annual continues to bloom from spring into fall for dependable color.
The mounding, trailing growth habit makes this Calibrachoa an excellent spiller in a container. This plant will absolutely shine in a hanging basket where the vigorous trailing stems and beautiful double blooms can be admired. The Superbells® Double Smitten Pink Calibrachoa is heat tolerant and will look amazing during peak summer heat. Not only does this plant look fantastic, but it also supports pollinators for added wildlife value.
Superbells® Double Smitten Pink Calibrachoa Care
Place the Superbells® Double Smitten Pink Calibrachoa in part to full sun. It prefers a rich, well-drained soil with a neutral to slightly acidic pH. Water the Calibrachoa daily or when the potting soil is dry. Potted plants will likely need water daily. Feed the plant every other week using a balanced, water-soluble fertilizer.
Pinch back new growth to encourage branching and a bushy appearance. Deadheading isn’t necessary, but trim back growth if the stems appear leggy.
Superbells® Double Smitten Pink Calibrachoa Spacing
The Superbells® Double Smitten Pink Calibrachoa only stands 6 to 12 inches tall and 12 to 24 inches wide, and the stems can trail up to 30 inches. Space plants 12 inches apart to create a full bed or grow three plants in a 12-inch wide container.
