Fiery orange petunia-like flowers cover the cascading green foliage of Superbells® Dreamsicle® Calibrachoa hybrid. The flowers light up gardens and containers with their bright colors and gently soften the edges with their trailing growth. Hummingbirds and people both love the orange flowers. Try setting a container with Superbells® Dreamsicle® Calibrachoa near a patio table or sitting area to get a good look at your native hummers up close.
The cascading growth and smoldering orange flowers make a brilliant “spiller” plant in containers. They are the perfect complement to grasses, foliage plants or small blooms – offering a splash of color to the group. Try them in hanging baskets and let them light the way like botanical lanterns.
Superbells® Dreamsicle® Calibrachoa Care
Plant your Calibrachoa in a place with well-draining soil that gets at least 4 hours of sunlight. Most gardeners enjoy their Calibrachoa in containers because they can better ensure the soil drainage they need. Superbells® Dreamsicle® Calibrachoa don’t like to grow in constantly wet or soggy soil, so be sure the top inch of soil in your containers is dry before watering. A regular, well-balanced fertilizer application will keep them bright and happy.
Try giving them a little trim when you plant them to see fuller growth. Deadheading is not necessary, but if not properly watered or fertilized, you may need to give them a trim at the end of the season to encourage a tidier appearance and fuller growth.
Superbells® Dreamsicle® Calibrachoa Spacing
Superbells® Dreamsicle® Calibrachoa can trail up to 30” and spread up to 24”, but they don’t tend to smother neighboring plants. Plant them 8-12” apart to allow room to grow happily.
