Superbells® Morning Star™ Calibrachoa are perfectly suited for window boxes, hanging baskets, containers, or garden borders.
Superbells® Morning Star™ Calibrachoa has a low mounding and trailing habit geared towards container spillers or garden border interest. They are heat and drought tolerant which will carry their performance through intense summers. Superbells® Morning Star™ Calibrachoa blooms continuously attracting hummingbirds and pollinators with their bright and cheerful flowers. These plants are easy to care for and are well suited to all different types of containers or even mass border plantings.
Superbells® Morning Star Calibrachoa Care
Superbells® Morning Star™ Calibrachoa prefer part sun to sun with regular watering and well-drained soil. Prune or pinch before planting to increase fullness and branching of the plant. Fertilize regularly with a well-balanced water-soluble n-p-k ratio 24-12-17 fertilizer. Calibrachoas are sensitive to pH imbalances and iron deficiency so if fertilizing regularly and yellowing occurs, increase or decrease pH with a different fertilizer. Superbells® Morning Star™ Calibrachoa is a continuous bloomer and deadheading is not necessary but they will benefit from trimming back if the plant begins to look tired. Trimming will promote new growth and branching.
Superbells® Morning Star Calibrachoa are most commonly grown as annuals planted in spring and growing on until frost. They are hardy from zones 9a to 11b.
Superbells® Morning Star Calibrachoa Spacing
Superbells® Morning Star™ Calibrachoa are low growing, mounded trailers reaching a max height of 12inches, spreading from 12-24 inches, and trailing up to 30 inches. Plant 8-12 inches apart in garden border plantings or plant 5 1” plugs into 12” hanging baskets.
