Yellow and white stars burst in the center of the bright pink flowers of Superbells® Rising Star. If your sunny patio or garden is in need of some cheerful color, you can count on the prolific, petite, and petunia-like blooms of Rising Star. The resplendent blooms cover the plant from planting until hard frost, which means it could brighten your space as fall begins to settle in and other flowers start to fade. Whether planted on its own or with others, you can count on Superbells® Rising Star to shine bright.
Superbells® Rising Star doesn’t set trails as long as other Calibrachoa varieties, so it’s perfect for hanging baskets or smaller containers where you want a tidier “spiller.” It has a mounding and trailing habit that lends itself especially well to containers. Place your Rising Star in a location where you can keep an eye on it, because you may catch some hummingbirds paying it a visit!
Superbells® Rising Star Calibrachoa Care
Don’t let your Superbells® Rising Star get soggy soil! Let it dry out between plantings to avoid root issues. Plant Calibrachoa in containers or garden beds with well-draining soil and only water when the soil is dry. Make sure they get at least four hours of sunlight per day.
Fertilize regularly with well-balanced fertilizer for best results. A light trim upon planting and at the end of the season is not necessary for continued bloom but can increase branching for full growth.
Superbells® Rising Star Calibrachoa Spacing
A tidy trailing plant, Superbells® Rising Star doesn’t need much room to accommodate its 18” trails or 24” spread. Plant 8-12” apart to provide enough space for them to thrive.
