Slack your late-summer thirst with the refreshing vibrancy of Superbells® Tropical Sunrise. The prolific, petite, and petunia-like flowers stun with pink, red, and yellow colors, reminiscent of a sunset or tropical drink. No wonder the hummingbirds can’t stay away! The long-blooming plant will brighten up your sunny patio or garden all summer long, until hard frost. Wouldn’t it be lovely to watch the colors change in autumn while these stunners continue to bloom?
A “spiller” plant that is quite the thriller, Superbells® Tropical Sunrise will add a cascade of color to your container plantings. The trailing habit and continuous, brilliant bloom dazzles whether you use them to add color next to foliage plants, create a lively show with other bloomers, or use them on their own. These best sellers are long blooming, continuously blooming, and heat tolerant.
Superbells® Tropical Sunrise Calibrachoa Petunia Care
Superbells® Tropical Sunrise is best enjoyed in a raised garden bed with well-draining soil or a container. Calibrachoa do not like constantly wet soil. Do not over water, and allow for the soil to dry between watering. Regular, balanced fertilizing will keep them growing and blooming abundantly.
It’s not necessary, but you can give them a trim with a pair of scissors when you plant them to get fuller growth from the start. There’s no need to deadhead for continuous bloom, however they sometimes need a trim at the end of the season to look tidy.
Superbells® Tropical Sunrise Calibrachoa Spacing
Calibrachoa are trailing, cascading plants that don’t smother their neighbors. With this in mind, you should allow 8-10” of space between plants.
