The bi-colour blooms of the Supertunia® Hoopla™ Vivid Orchid™ Petunia will certainly draw interest wherever you plant it. Producing picotee-patterned flowers of vivid purple and a white edge, this petunia is a show-stopper. Furthermore, as a prolific bloomer, it will flower right up until the first frost. 

The Supertunia® Hoopla™ Vivid Orchid™ Petunia grows to around 12 inches high with a slightly wider spread, making it perfect for borders, containers and even hanging baskets. Adored by both butterflies and hummingbirds, this petunia is heat tolerant and can grow outdoors year-round in hardiness zones 10 to 11. In colder areas, it can be grown as an annual. Vivid Orchid™ is ideal for using as both a thriller and a spiller. 

Supertunia® Hoopla™ Vivid Orchid™ Petunia Care

The Supertunia® Hoopla™ Vivid Orchid™ Petunia will grow in both full sun and partial shade. It will tolerate most soil types as long as they drain well. Irrigate regularly, especially after planting and during prolonged hot and dry spells. Apply a slow-release fertilizer upon planting, followed by a liquid solution weekly to help this petunia bloom all season long. No deadheading is necessary. 

Being a tender perennial, the Supertunia® Hoopla™ Vivid Orchid™ Petunia will flower throughout the growing season until the first frost. Enjoy the blooms year-round in frost-free climates. When grown in a container, more frequent watering will be needed to prevent the soil from drying out. 

Supertunia® Hoopla™ Vivid Orchid™ Petunia Spacing

The Supertunia® Hoopla™ Vivid Orchid™ Petunia can grow to around 5 to 12 inches high and 18 to 24 inches wide. Allow a spacing of 12 to 24 inches between plants when growing as part of a group.
