This shows how the plant is typically used in a container combo — Thriller (tall focal point), Filler (mid-height mass), or Spiller (trailing over the edge).
Tip: match plant habit to the role for the best designs.
Supertunia Mini Vista® Pink Cloud™ stays notably compact and globe-shaped for a Supertunia, giving you a full “finished” container or edge planting without the usual petunia sprawl. Petunia hybrid 'WNPETSMVPC26' matures at 6–12 inches tall and spreads 18–24 inches wide, forming a dense, trailing mound. The cotton-candy pink blooms with a crisp white throat keep coming from planting to hard frost, so your pots and beds don’t hit a midseason lull. We always recommend it when shoppers want the “wow” of a Supertunia but need a cleaner, more controlled shape.
Those petite, ruffled blooms create a soft-textured canopy that looks especially good in window boxes and hanging baskets. Like other Supertunias, it’s a strong performer in heat and handles short dry spells once rooted in, making it dependable through summer. No deadheading is required, which is a big deal in mixed planters where maintenance adds up fast. Use it to rim sunny borders, container edges, or pathways where you want coverage without a takeover. Butterflies and hummingbirds often visit, adding motion to patios and entryway plantings.
Supertunia Mini Vista® Pink Cloud™ Petunia Care
Give this petunia part sun to full sun, with at least 4+ hours of direct light for steady blooming and a dense habit. When planting, loosen the root ball slightly if it’s tight, then set it at the same depth it was growing in the pot to avoid slowing it down. Choose a loose, well-aerated mix or garden soil that drains quickly and sits in the slightly acidic range (about pH 5.8–6.5). Water at the soil level, soaking thoroughly and then letting the container or bed drain before watering again—containers may need more frequent drinks in peak heat. Supertunias are hungry, so feed with a controlled-release fertilizer at planting and a water-soluble product through the season to keep bloom production high.
If the plant starts to look open or you want a fresh, rounded look, shear it back lightly and it will rebound with new growth and flowers. A midsummer trim paired with feeding is the quickest way to reset the shape for the rest of the season.
Supertunia Mini Vista® Pink Cloud™ Petunia Spacing
Space plants 12–18 inches apart so they can merge into a solid mound without overcrowding. For containers, use a 10–12 inch pot for one plant, or place three in a 16–18 inch bowl or window box for a full, domed effect. Try it with coleus (Coleus scutellarioides), angelonia (Angelonia angustifolia), and sweet alyssum (Lobularia maritima) to balance its soft pink blooms with upright structure and a low, flowering edge.
