Supertunia® Royal Velvet® Petunia Care
Care for this petunia is easy and is relatively low maintenance. It requires part sunlight to full sun and it needs a moist and well-draining soil environment. Additional supplemental watering may be needed later in the season, but once established it is drought tolerant. Supertunia are heavy feeders. Ensure that a slow-release fertilizer is added to its initial planting in the landscape and in containers. Container plants tend to demand more water and nutrition, so consider applying regular applications of water-soluble fertilizer for those container plants. Trimming ⅓ of its growth at any time can help to keep this plant vigorous and compact.
Hardy to zones 10-11, Supertunia® Royal Velvet® Petunia hybrid an annual in zones 9 and below. Typically this plant does not overwinter indoors very well. Supertunias lasts outside from planting in the spring till frost in the Fall.
