Mature Spread
Sweet as Honey overflows with sunny pinwheels of Superbells® Lemon Slice® (Calibrachoa hybrid), pure‑snow trumpets of Superbells® White, and the airy white cloud of Diamond Frost® Euphorbia. Together the three trail, tumble, and mound to 10 inches tall, cloaking a 16‑inch basket in glowing yellows and crisp whites from late spring until the first fall chill. Flowers arrive in waves, each new flush masking the spent blooms so you never need to groom. Hummingbirds hover for nectar, and the yellow-white palette complements other summer color schemes.
Heat resilience defines this recipe: both calibrachoas shrug off scorching afternoons and brief dry spells, while Diamond Frost keeps its delicate look even when rain is scarce. The plants share a gently trailing habit, making them ideal spillers around the rim of patio pots or the front edge of raised beds. Deer usually pass by the euphorbia, and the entire mix shows solid mildew resistance. Plant one kit for a tabletop accent, or repeat several along a fence to stitch bright color through the landscape.
Sweet as Honey Combination Care
Fill a roomy container with well‑drained, peat‑based potting mix and blend in a slow‑release fertilizer before planting. Water deeply whenever the top inch is dry—daily during high summer—allowing excess to drain so calibrachoa roots never sit in soggy soil. Six to eight weeks after planting, begin a half‑strength liquid feed every 10–14 days to maintain nonstop color without the risk of fertilizer burn. If stems stretch in midsummer, trim back by one‑third, then water and feed to prompt a fresh, dense flush of blooms within ten days.
Calibrachoas and euphorbia behave as long‑blooming annuals outside frost‑free regions; enjoy them outdoors until nighttime temperatures dip below 45 °F. Gardeners in zones 10–11 can leave the pot outside year‑round, where it will flower continuously under warm, bright conditions. In colder zones, compost the planting after frost or move it to a heated sunroom for a few extra weeks of color.
Sweet as Honey Combination Spacing
One kit—two Superbells White, two Superbells Lemon Slice, and two Diamond Frost Euphorbias—perfectly fills a 14–16 inch container, creating an instant, full look without crowding. For larger barrels or window boxes, allow roughly 12 inches between plants so trailing stems can weave together. In the ground, set transplants 10 inches apart along the border edge for a continuous ribbon, or scatter them 15 inches apart in mass plantings to let each mound expand into a soft, flowering carpet.
