With its long season, you could be picking these Sweet Kiss Strawberries from June until the fall. The Sweet Kiss Strawberry Plant is aptly named as it develops super sweet, large, red fruits that are simply delicious. As an everbearing variety, the Sweet Kiss Strawberry plant produces fruits throughout the growing season. Having won numerous blind taste tests, it will not disappoint.

Sweet Kiss Strawberry Plant Care

As with all strawberry plants, Sweet Kiss is best grown in rich, free-draining soil in full sun for the most prolific fruits. As a cold hardy plant, it is suited to growing in zones 4 to 9. It is best to plant it after the last frost of spring has passed.

Growing Sweet Kiss Strawberry Plant

For the most delicious fruits and to encourage it to keep cropping all summer long, the Sweet Kiss Strawberry Plant should be grown in as much sun as possible. Once mature, this strawberry plant can reach a height of 6-8 inches and width of 24-36 inches. If growing more than one of these strawberry plants, they can be planted out at a spacing of 10 inches between plants.

Strawberry plants are well suited to growing in containers or hanging baskets; however, a minimum pot size of 12 inches is recommended. Since strawberries prefer fertile soil, a rich compost mix should be used to support their growth and fruit production.

Watering Sweet Kiss Strawberry Plant

Strawberry plants require regular watering, especially after planting and for the first season at least. When watering, soak the base of the plant and avoid spraying the foliage to help prevent disease.

Feeding Sweet Kiss Strawberry Plant

A fertile soil enriched with well-rotted manure or garden compost will help provide the nutrients Sweet Kiss requires. As an everbearing variety, the Sweet Kiss Strawberry Plant will benefit from a regular feed applied between spring and late summer as per the manufacturer’s guidance.
