Salmon pink coral flowers standing upright on green shoots give the feel of a tropical paradise. This annual flower blooms from planting to frost. Hardy in zones 8-11, it can grow anywhere in the U.S. Reaching 30-48 inches high, the Canna generalis is an amazing focal point for any landscape area.
Extremely heat tolerant, it will bloom all summer long. The canna lily attracts butterflies and hummingbirds. With it’s upright growth, it is used as a thriller for container arrangements and is attractive on it’s own. Works well for general garden use, mass planting, or as an accent piece.
Toucan Coral Canna Lily Care
The easy-to-care for flower likes partial to full sun. It prefers moist well-drained soil but can die in standing water. One application of fertilizer per season is all it needs. For plentiful blooms all summer, deadhead them after the blooms fade.
The Canna Lily can be grown indoors if it gets 6 hours of direct sunlight daily.
Toucan Coral Canna Lily Spacing
When used as a landscape or garden plan, space it 18-24 inches away from other plants. 3 bulbs can be planted in a large container.
