Gomphrena has a wonderful hot pink, girly charm. Only reaching 28 inches in height and 26 inches in length, Gomphrena has a bushy, mounding habit. This plant has a full, branching center and eye catching pink flowers, dotted all around. The flower season is non stop from Spring all the way into Fall.

Gomphrena is handy and reliable to have around. It is native to Central America and can handle heat and drought remarkably well. Bees and butterflies are enticed by its neon flower. Gomphrena works the best as a filler in container culture. This plant even has the power to get those creative juices flowing. Unlock that inner landscape designer and/or interior decorator with Truffula™ Pink Globe Amaranth. Decorate your outside with a pink firework display and then show it off indoors in a special bouquet or dried flower arrangement.

Truffula Pink Globe Amaranth Care

Easy to maintain, Globe Amaranth needs six-plus hours of sunlight daily. Trim this plant early in the Spring to encourage a bushy center, but otherwise, no deadheading is needed. The ideal soil needs to be slightly acidic and well-draining. Add compost or fertilizer to landscapes annually and add a balanced fertilizer regularly when planting in containers.

Gomphrena does not tolerate frost and it is considered a tender annual in zones 8 and below. Typically it does not overwinter well. It is hardy in zones 9 to 11.

Truffula Pink Globe Amaranth Spacing

In landscape planting or mass planting, allow a 12 to 18-inch space between plants. Use a 12 to 14-inch pot when planting in containers. Allow at least a 6-inch space between plants when planting in containers.
