With its clouds of sweet-smelling, tiny white blooms, White Knight® is invaluable in containers and hanging baskets. It is a prolific bloomer from planting to frost. A newer cultivar, it holds up well to summer heat, yet is tolerant of the cool temperatures of fall. It is low growing to a height of 4-6 inches with a mounding habit. White Knight® has won awards for its top performance.

While this Lobularia hybrid doesn’t mind cold nor heat, it is not drought tolerant. It easily recovers from a dry spell, however, when hydrated. It is resistant to disease. This pollinator plant attracts bees and butterflies. Use it as a lovely ground cover in the landscape, especially along the front of a border. Grow it in a large planter that won’t dry out quickly. It is stunning with other blooms in an all-white combination container. It will trail up to 2 feet in a hanging basket.

White Knight® Sweet Alyssum Care

For pots of sweet alyssum use a continuous release fertilizer at planting. No deadheading is required, but you can trim plants back if they spread onto walkways. The plant is a heavy drinker, so water frequently – especially hanging baskets.

In the landscape, plant in average, evenly moist soil in a location that receives part sun to sun.

White Knight® Sweet Alyssum Spacing

Space it 12-18 inches. It will spread 18-24 inches, depending on where you plant it (in a container or in the ground).
