Growing Zones
For some contrasting blooms, you cannot outdo the 2-N-1 Vibrant Color Rose Tree with its bright orange and purple flowers. A combo of Rosa 'Lavender MiniFlora' and 'Orange MiniFlora', the 2-N-1 Vibrant Color Rose Tree grows on a 24-inch trunk upon which its flowers bloom all season long.
Fantastic disease resistance and heat tolerance make this rose tree easy to grow and care for. It is exceptionally winter hardy down to USDA zone 4. It grows to around 5 feet tall, which is ideal for growing in a container to brighten up a patio or a deck. Alternatively, why not place it in the middle or back of a border to add some structure and tall color?
2-N-1 Vibrant Color Rose Tree Care
The 2-N-1 Vibrant Color Rose Tree grows best when it is planted in full sun and in fertile soil that is moist and well-drained. To help it establish, water frequently after planting. Once established, continue to water this rose tree when the top layer of soil feels dry. Applying a rose-specific fertilizer in early spring will help support growth and reblooming.
The 2-N-1 Vibrant Color Rose Tree is best pruned in late winter to early spring. Using a pair of sharp and sanitized pruners, remove any dead or damaged wood and reduce the canopy size, cutting back to an outward-facing bud. Mulch in spring with organic matter to help reduce moisture loss over the warmer months.
2-N-1 Vibrant Color Rose Tree Spacing
The 2-N-1 Vibrant Color Rose Tree can grow to around 5 feet tall and produce a canopy 2 to 3 feet wide. Plant at a spacing of 3 to 4 feet apart depending on how defined you want the canopies to be.
