Double blooms are a delicate shade of apricot with darker petals near the outer edge and a much lighter shade near the center. Enjoy the beautiful flowers from spring through fall. The blooms have a lovely mild scent. Glossy dark green foliage has serrated edges, giving the plant a full and elegant air.
The compact size of the Apricot Drift® Rose Tree Form is best for the front or middle of a mixed bed or border. Use this rose tree to create a lovely foundation planting or line a walkway. Grow this beauty in a container to display on a deck, porch, or balcony. Pollinators are drawn to the flowers. This drift rose is disease resistant for clean foliage without fungal issues. Grow the Apricot Drift® Rose Tree Form in zones 4 through 11.
Apricot Drift® Rose Tree Form Care
Plant Drift Roses in moist, well-drained, neutral-to-acidic soil with high organic content. Young plants need consistent water, while established plants appreciate weekly watering as needed. A location with full sun will support growth and help this bush thrive. Fertilize every six weeks with a product intended for roses.
Prune in late winter or early spring to remove crossed branches and dead growth. Cut the shrub back to encourage a bushier form. Apply a thick layer of mulch around the base of the rose tree to protect against cold winter temperatures. Plants in cold climates will also benefit from being wrapped in landscape fabric to ward off winter weather.
Apricot Drift® Rose Tree Form Spacing
Apricot Drift® Rose Tree Form reaches 2 - 3 feet tall and wide. Space plants 36 inches apart, so air can circulate around the foliage.
