A continuously flowering daylily, this Apricot Sparkles Daylily will surprise you. Beginning in June, this perennial flower blooms a subtle yellow-orange, hence the Apricot title. Larger than the standard daylily, this flower will be a welcome addition to the landscape, catching the eye of passersby. As it can measure up to four inches in diameter, this stem would be a perfect addition to a cut flower bouquet.
This perennial flower is hardy in zones four through eight. It can tolerate full sun or partial shade. Blooming steadily June through September, this flower would be a nice addition to border gardens, or along fencing for a continuous pop of color. It could even be planted within containers, for versatile location possibilities.
Apricot Sparkles Daylily Care
This perennial, specialty Daylily prefers well drained soil. It should be planted in an area that doesn’t remain too wet, for too long. It should be watered if a prolonged dry stretch is observed. It is, however, drought tolerant so it should remain healthy as long as it’s planted in fertile soil.
This perennial flower can be trimmed to the ground in the Fall. Dead-heading spent blooms will prolong blooming time.
Apricot Sparkles Daylily Spacing
These flowers grow 12 to 18 inches tall. They should be spaced 18 to 24 inches apart, as they grow densely, and mounded.
