The Autumn Carnation™ Encore® Azalea, Azalea x ‘Roblec’ PP#15339, has pink, semi-double blooms that attract butterflies and hummingbirds. Dark green foliage turns shades of purple in the fall. Blooms spring through fall. Works well in containers on the patio, singly, in the shrub border or as a hedge.

Autumn Carnation™ Encore® Azalea Care

Water well until established- more drought tolerant than some azaleas. Azaleas perform best in acidic soil, which can be amended with chelated iron if necessary. Prune only to shape after the first bloom period in spring. Fertilize in late winter or early spring to give the upcoming blooms a boost.

Autumn Carnation™ Encore® Azalea Spacing

Plant 3 to 3.5 feet apart, center to center for a hedge. Otherwise plant approximately 5 to 6 feet apart, center to center.

It was the first time I had ever gotten brave enough to order a plant by mail. But, I have to say, this azalea was packaged beautifully and has been thriving in the ground now since planting it. About a month now. (I waited a couple of days to let it process the delivery trauma before planting) Looking forward to ordering from Plant Addicts again!

I bought one of these because I love azaleas and I just love the color of these flowers. Planted it last fall. It seems to have done very well over the winter. Can't wait for these to start blooming soon! Just looks great in my home in Atlanta!

I ordered this in the winter, and was hoping to get it in the mail. But it STILL hasn't shipped out. I wish I would have read the shipping details before ordering.

Just got this in the mail, the leaves are darker than I thought they were. Just planting them today, so I'll report back if the bushes survive. I live in northern Alabama, so it should have plenty of time to get acclimated before winter.
