The Autumn Sangria™ Encore® Azalea, Azalea x ‘Roblee’ PP#15077, has dark pink 3.5 inch blooms that adorn this compact evergreen shrub spring, summer and fall. Works well in containers, as an accent or as foundation plantings. This broadleaf evergreen also makes a superior hedge, providing four seasons of color.
Autumn Sangria™ Encore® Azalea Care
Plant high to promote good drainage. Azaleas perform best in acidic soil, which can be amended with chelated iron if necessary. Don’t allow the soil to become dry until established. Prune only to shape after the first bloom period in spring. Fertilize in late winter or early spring to give the upcoming blooms a boost. Make sure to avoid hot midday and afternoon sun so the plant doesn't burn up.
Autumn Sangria™ Encore® Azalea Spacing
Plant singly as a specimen in the shrub border or as a hedge, 3 feet apart, center to center. Plant 5 feet apart, center to center, in the shrub border or in mass plantings.
