The Azurri Blue Satin Rose of Sharon by Proven Winners ColorChoice is a beautiful true blue flowering hibiscus shrub. Even better, this plant does not produce seeds and spread all over the garden. The plant will grow as high as 12 feet tall, and be covered all over in flowers. A definite statement piece in any landscape.

We typically will plant these as a centerpiece of a garden. But you can also plant these in very large garden planters, perfect for large yards or landscaping in commercial areas. We’ve also seen these grown into a giant beautiful flowering hedge!

This shrub is heat, drought, and salt tolerant and very low maintenance for people that cannot keep plants alive. It is also deer resistant, but great for pollinators, especially butterflies.

Azurri Blue Satin Rose of Sharon Care

Plant these rose of sharon shrubs in full sun for best results and to have the plant produce the most flowers possible. Well drained soil is also helpful.

Fertilize in early spring before the plant starts to bloom. Pruning Azurri Blue Satin Rose of Sharon is not necessary. However, you may trim to get the desired size of plant or shape in early spring before fertilizing.

Very little care is needed beyond that for this hardy plant.

Azurri Blue Satin Rose of Sharon Spacing

Plant these shrubs at least 48 inches apart, center on center. If you wish to grow a flowering hedge, you may plant these 40 inches apart, center on center.

The Azurri Blue Satin® Rose of Sharon arrived in good shape, but it had almost no developed root ball. Very small plant and it is struggling to get established. Very disappointed in maturity and quality of this plant. Definitely it was not ready for prime time.

Look, I think this plant is going to do really well, however, it is not rabbit resistant. A week after planting, the rabbits chewed it down to 2”. I had to yank it out of the front yard and transplant it in the back where it’s rabbit free. I think that’s something that should be right out in the info in big letters.

    good plant, but...

The plant arrived in great condition, just was quite small considering the cost, but overall still a great purchase. Even at only 4 inches high it does have quite a few buds with one in bloom already and it was planted just over a week ago.

Hello! I was so excited to receive my Rose of Sharon bush. I've wanted one for years, and am delighted that it's a seedless one! The shrub arrived looking healthy and beautiful, and after a couple days of rest, I planted it. It is doing very well. I was a bit disappointed that it was so small. I ordered a lilac from another company, and it arrived at about 3 feet high. I did pay double the price, though. Still, I thought this one would be much bigger. I look forward to seeing it grow!
