What can you make with fresh, plump, sweet blueberries that fall into your pail at the slightest touch? Biscuits, breads, bread puddings, buckles, cheesecakes, chocolate-covered candies, cobblers, cocktails, coffee cakes, compotes, cookies, crisps, crumbles, danishes, donuts, frozen yogurts, ice creams, jams, jellies, muffins, pancakes, pies, popsicles, sauces, scones, shortcakes, smoothies, syrups, trifles, and much more! Berries Galore Blueberry Bush, otherwise known as Vaccinium corymbosum ‘Berries Galore’, and Highbush Blueberry, is an ideal choice to get you started in these edible blueberry endeavors. This deciduous, upright shrub yields showy ivory flowers followed by scrumptious fruit that can be eaten straight off the stems. Berries Galore Blueberry Bush yields anywhere from 5 to 10 pounds of luscious blueberries from June until August.

Berries Galore Blueberry Bush Care

Plant Berries Galore Blueberry Bush during the spring in a hole twice as large as the plant’s root system in loamy, moist, well-draining, acidic soil that is amended with sand/peat moss/coco coir. The soil’s pH should vary between 4.5 to 6.5. If planted en masse, space these berry powerhouses approximately 5 feet apart.  Preferring full to half day sun, this shrub requires minimal care.

Growing Berries Galore Blueberry Bush

A sloped spot with good drainage protected from the elements will suffice as a good location outside to plant this shrub. Producing fruit at three years of age, Berries Galore Blueberry Bush should reach its maximum yield at around six years of age. A midsized shrub, this bush will grow to five feet. This plant can be pruned annually during the winter months with the goal of creating space for the inner branches to receive adequate sunlight and air circulation.

Berries Galore Blueberry Bush can be planted as a specimen, part of a border, or en masse. If planting in a container, choose a pot that is at least 2 feet x 2 feet. If repotting, do so annually during the early spring and transplant this bush to a new container that is 1 to 2 inches larger than the old one.

Watering Berries Galore Blueberry Bush

A moisture lover, Berries Galore Blueberry Bush requires about one to two inches of water per week. Before watering, check the moisture level of the soil to avert fungal diseases such as root rot.

Feeding Berries Galore Blueberry Bush

Ericaceous, Berries Galore Blueberry Bush does not require frequent feeding. Fertilize once per year during the early spring months with a fertilizer that has a lower pH.

Plant Addicts Warranty - 1 Year (Extra Purchase Required)

We encourage all plant lovers to purchase the Plant Addicts Warranty, whether you're a new gardener or an expert. There are many variables outside of anyone's control that can cause a plant to die. Hungry animals, drought, poor soil conditions, over watering, diseases & pests are all good examples of what can cause plants to die. The Plant Addicts Warranty is a 1 year warranty protecting you from all of the unknowns and will replace your plant if something were to happen to it.

The warranty is purchased on a per plant basis and must be purchased at the same time as the plant(s). We will cover 100% of the price of the plant, but the warranty does not cover shipping costs. SImply let us know if your plant has died within 1 year of receiving it and we will get you a new one shipped out as soon as possible (depending on the time of the year and availability). We may ask for photos for documentation purposes, but we try to make the process as easy as possible.

Guarantee and Warranty

Plant Shipping

Below are some factors we consider when determining when to ship the plants depending on the timing of the order.

Winter to Early Spring

We ship only when it's warm enough to plant in your growing zone.
Sometimes plants aren't completely ready to sell and ship in early spring. We will wait until the plants are ready before shipping so you don't get a subpar product.
For Southern plants we will be able to ship much earlier than plants coming from our northern nursery.

Summer

If there is extreme heat we may delay shipping for a week or several weeks.
We review what areas the plants are traveling through as well as your location.

Fall into Winter

We’ll ship plants out all the way up to the end of the fall planting season!

Winter

Get your order in early to reserve your plants for Spring planting!

Once your plant is shipped you’ll receive an automated email with tracking information.
