Also known as Heliopsis helianthoides, this herbaceous perennial features impressive semi-double flowers that reach up to 3-½” wide. Warm, golden-yellow petals have feathery tips and surround gold-colored cones. The flowers bloom from mid to late summer. Lance-shaped foliage has dark green midribs and veining that stand out against the white leaves.
The mounded, upright growth habit has a full and dense appearance, making the Bit of Honey False Sunflower a nice addition to a bed or border. Trim the flowers to enjoy in arrangements.
