Bit of Honey False Sunflower Care

Plant a Bit of Honey False Sunflower in full to partial sun. This plant thrives in 6 hours of sunlight but can handle some shade. Use rich, moist, but well-drained soil. The soil should be acidic to neutral. Let the top few inches of soil dry out before giving this plant a drink. Bit of Honey False Sunflower is drought tolerant, but water during a dry spell to keep the flowers looking their best. Plants grown in rich soil are not heavy feeders, while plants in poor soil will benefit from a slow-release fertilizer each spring.

The Bit of Honey False Sunflower can become straggly, so cut back growth if the stems become leggy. All spent growth can be cut back in the fall or early spring.
