The Blue Butterfly Larkspur is easy to grow and adds a pop of bold blue color to a landscape. The Delphinium grandiflorum, or Siberian larkspur, features tall flower spikes bearing bright blue double blooms that open in late May. The long-blooming flowers provide color throughout the summer, and well-timed pruning may encourage another flush.

This perennial has a mounded growth habit. Feature this larkspur near the middle or back of a mixed perennial bed or as a thriller in a container. The deeply lobed foliage complements the purplish-blue flowers. This cultivar is tolerant of heat, ensuring dependable color throughout the summer. Deer often leave this plant alone. Blue Butterfly Larkspur Care
