The Blue Sunset Hydrangea is a heavy bloomer that features large, cloud-like flower clusters. This reblooming cultivar pushes out striking blooms from late spring until midsummer for a continuous and showy display. The mophead flowers are a medium blue hue and will have hints of pink or white based on the soil pH. The flowers are complemented by large glossy green foliage with serrated edges. 

Use this rounded, upright, deciduous shrub in borders, mass plantings, or landscapes. The beautiful blooms make excellent cut flowers or leave the blooms in place to attract butterflies. This lovely plant is low maintenance and grows as a perennial in USDA zones 5 through 8.

Plant in rich, well-drained soil that should be kept evenly moist. Blue Sunset Hydrangea do best with morning sun and afternoon shade. The soil pH will determine the flower color of the Blue Sunset Hydrangea. Acidic soils produce blue blooms, while a pH of 5.5 or higher will cause the flowers to turn pink.
