Looking for a hardy, easy-care, fragrant rose? Blushing Knock Out® Rose has got you covered! This landscape rose is soft pastel pink with dark green foliage. It is low maintenance, disease resistant, and loaded with delectably fragrant, 3-inch blooms that appear continuously from June until frost.

Blushing Knock Out® Rose is hardy in zones 5-8. Its mature size is approximately 2-3 feet tall by 3-4 ft wide. This plant is also known as Rosa Blushing Knock Out® ('Radyod'). It looks great grown individually as a specimen or in small groups; try it in cottage gardens and rose gardens or use it to create a fragrant, blooming hedge for borders. This is an excellent selection for part-shade locations.

Blushing Knock Out® Rose Care

Keep your rose plant moist until its roots establish; this can take approximately 6 weeks. Water it about every 2-4 days, at a minimum of once per week. After the first bloom season, your Blushing Knock Out® Rose plant should be well established and can tolerate short periods of drought. If the soil feels dry, give it a good soak, avoiding the leaves and petals. Add a slow-release, general-purpose fertilizer or mix in some compost upon planting your shrub. Rose shrubs prefer heavy but well-drained, humus-rich, loamy soils.

Pruning should take place during the early spring before buds appear on your roses. Typically this is around March or April. Deadhead your roses weekly to help direct the plant’s energy into new shoots and more flowers. Summer mulching around this shrub will help to retain more moisture and keep roots cool while discouraging weeds. Remove spent flowers to encourage rebloom. These roses do not require heavy pruning unless you need to control its size.

Blushing Knock Out® Rose Spacing

This is a shrub that gets 3-4 feet tall and wide, so give it plenty of space when you plant it so it’s able to spread out. Each bush can be planted about 3 feet apart if you decide to make a beautiful, low, flowering hedge.
