It is hard to imagine a summer without this beauty in our landscape. The blooms are end to end, a creamy white that will gracefully age to a soft pink as we get closer to autumn. Even the strong west winds don't ever phase this flowering shrub! A true favorite for many!

The Proven Winners ColorChoice® Bobo® Hydrangea is a compact panicle hydrangea loaded with beautiful white flowers! A great attribute for this plant is that you can grow it up to zone 3! These dwarf hydrangeas get absolutely covered in white blooms each summer, that turn pink later on in the season. The stems on this plant are also very strong, providing great upright support for the large blooms.

Bobo Hydrangea Care

The Bobo Hydrangea grows best in loamy soil, but is widely adaptable to many different types of soil. This shrub will bloom regardless of soil, pruning, or pH levels. Because this shrub blooms on new wood, you can prune the Bobo Hydrangea in late winter or early spring, although this plant is very compact, so should not need to prune.

Fertilize the Bobo hydrangea in early spring with slow release fertilizer designed for trees and bushes.

Bobo Hydrangea Spacing

Plant these small bushes 3 to 4 feet wide, center on center. For a hedge, you can plant 18 to 24 inches apart for a shorter garden border. These compact panicle shrubs also work great in garden planters. Typically you will not need more than 1 for each planter, unless it is very large, over 48 inches wide.

    Great Plants!

Posted by Veera Gaul on May 05, 2023

My plants arrived in perfect condition — I was extremely pleased. I also love the tips on how to plant, water etc since I am fairly new to gardening. The Hydrangea i bought seem to be doing well (3 weeks later) and I am excited to get more plants from Plant Addict. They are awesome!

    Beautiful smaller...

Posted by Janice Thompson on Jun 06, 2022

Received flowers in good condition. The issue is hardly any root. My husband watered and second day had 90 degrees weather 2 days then back down to mid 60’s. Still faithfully watered but 3 plants look distressed. Hopefully with the rain this weekend they will turn around. Customer service is great!

    Bobo

Received our hydrangeas about one week ago, and planted them the next day. They were a little smaller than I expected but that made planting them very easy. So far they are looking nice and green. Hope fall planting gets them off to a good start next Spring.

    Excellent...

Posted by Dianne on Jun 07, 2021

With the summer weather upon us I was apprehensive about the condition my hydrangea would be in when it arrived. Not one brown leaf was to be seen. It looked like someone had just delivered it from a garden center. I will be back again to order. I think this is my third order.

The plant arrived in tact and healthy. Very small for the price. Hopefully it grows quickly but I’m thinking likely not and won’t get to it’s full height till next year. Doing nicely since planted.
