The Bottle Rocket Ligularia has greed foliage, the leaves are large with spiked edges. The blooms form on stems giving the appearance of spikes. It stands out in the crowd with its yellow flowers. Flowering begins in the mid-summer and lasts till late summer. The Bottle Rocket Ligularia reaches a spread of twenty-four to twenty-eight inches and grows to a height of twenty-eight to thirty-four inches. It has a variety of uses. Plant as a focal point, border plant, mass planting container planting, or use its cut flowers in arrangements.
Bottle Rocket Ligularia Care
Plant in part sun, for best results. It provides best blooms when grown in cool and wet locations. Soil should be moist and well drained. Neutral Ph level is desirable. The Bottle Rocket Ligularia will thrive growing in average to fertile soil. Provided constant moisture especially in times of extreme heat and drought. Remove spent foliage as necessary. Cut back in the fall. Slow release fertilizer should be applied in the spring.
