Burgundy Glow Ajuga is a stunning ground cover with some of the most vibrant and lovely variegated foliage. The gently scalloped, textured leaves are green but have hints of purplish-pink and creamy white to varying degrees. Dainty, deep blue flowers bloom on upright spikes in May through June, and they add to the appeal, but the Ajuga reptans 'Burgundy Glow' is really all about the foliage.

This Ajuga’s low, spreading growth habit makes it an excellent ground cover. The stems feature dense foliage that effectively covers the space in a mixed bed or rock garden. Use it to create a leafy border, conceal uneven ground, or aid in erosion control. Plant this Ajuga in a container and let the reaching stems cascade over the edge.
