The dainty flowers of the Buttermint Miniature Rose dazzle from spring through fall. This Rosa ‘Buttermint' boasts lovely yellow double blooms. The tiny flowers provide the same good looks as a more traditional rose, simply in a smaller size. This shrub continuously blooms, providing a long and prolific bloom cycle. Broad, glossy leaves come to a point and feature serrated edges.
Add the Buttermint Miniature Rose to a mixed bed, or create a darling border along a walkway. Feature this rose bush in a container to enjoy its good looks and mild fragrance up close. Pollinators also enjoy the delicate flowers. The Buttermint Miniature Rose grows in zones 5 through 11.
Buttermint Miniature Rose Care
This miniature rose needs full sun, so choose a spot with six or more hours of direct sunlight. Provide moist soil that is rich, well drained, and slightly acidic. New plants need regular water for the first growing season. Established plants can handle some dryness, but water during a drought to ensure consistent flowering. Fertilize monthly to support a prolific bloom cycle.
Prune in late winter or early spring to remove overgrowth and crossed or spindly branches. Routine pruning encourages a full and bushy shrub.
Buttermint Miniature Rose Spacing
Mature Buttermint Miniature Rose bushes stand 18 inches tall and wide. Space plants 18 inches apart, center on center, to create a continuous planting. Grow one rose bush in a 12-inch container.
