Neither the flowers nor the fruit are significant. It’s deer resistant and highly tolerant of urban pollution, even in inner-city environments.

At maturity, Cesky Gold Betula reaches 2 to 4 feet in height and 1.5 to 3 feet in width in a fan-like shape. This slow-growing multi-stemmed shrub can be pruned but looks best if left to grow in its natural growth pattern. Prune during the summer after leaves have fully matured if desired. Pruning in late winter or early spring may result in the plant bleeding sap.
