Color Coded® ‘The Fuchsia is Bright’ Coneflower (Echinacea hybrid) is a perennial with showy, neon pink color. Bright, hot-pink flowers with the classic coneflower center appear from summer through fall. Color Coded® ‘The Fuchsia is Bright’ Coneflower reaches a mature size of 22 inches tall by 18 inches wide, featuring large, 4.5-inch blooms.

Color Coded® ‘The Fuchsia is Bright’ Coneflower is low maintenance and hardy. This North America native thrives in USDA hardiness zones 4 - 8. This coneflower is drought tolerant when established, and deer resistant. Its upright growth habit makes it perfect for the container role of “filler” in combination with “thriller” and “spiller” container plants.

Color Coded® The Fuchsia is Bright Coneflower Care

This plant thrives in part sun to full sun (4 - 6 hours of direct sunlight daily). Color Coded® ‘The Fuchsia is Bright’ Coneflower plants tolerate some shade, but will be most showy and colorful in full sun. This coneflower can tolerate many types of soil, although ideally the soil should be fertile and well draining. These coneflowers are ideal for cut or dried flower arrangements, border plantings, or large-scale mass plantings.

When deadheading the spent blooms, you should cut back to a leaf node where a new bud can form. Removing spent blooms throughout the summer will encourage more flowers to appear. During the fall, you may choose to leave spent coneflower blooms in place to provide food for birds. Prune the plant down to the ground and mulch the surrounding soil before winter hits. Alternatively, cut back the spent foliage in early spring before new growth emerges.

Color Coded® The Fuchsia is Bright Coneflower Spacing

The spread for Color Coded® ‘The Fuchsia is Bright’ Coneflower is 16 - 18 inches. For best growth results, allot at least 16 - 18 inches of space between each plant.
