The Crimson Bouquet™ Rose is quite possibly the reddest of them all with its vibrant ruby-red flowers that contrast perfectly with dark green foliage. It produces long-lasting flowers that can be cut periodically to liven up your home. While all roses are a bit high maintenance, this one has a high tolerance for various soil types, pH levels, and even urban pollution, making it an adaptable rose choice. At 4 feet tall, you’ll love the splash of color this shrub will add from early summer to early fall.
This rose is great for cutting and bringing inside. It carries a light honey-sweet scent and has a long vase life. Great for mass plantings, hedges/screening and general garden use, the Crimson Bouquet™ Rose is also disease resistant. For all roses, cutting is a form of pruning, so make sure that when you are gathering rose blooms, leave at least two sets of leaves on the branch to ensure plant vigor.
Crimson Bouquet™ Rose Plant Care
This plant needs full sun. It’s not too particular about soil type—it can tolerate various soil textures and pH levels. Newly planted roses need more frequent watering than established plants. If you notice wilting foliage in the mornings, it’s time to give your Crimson Bouquet™ Rose a drink. If growing in a patio container, you’ll probably need to water more frequently. Make sure your pots have drainage holes to prevent overwatering. Make sure the soil is well draining, as this shrub does not tolerate standing water. When fertilizing, make sure your plant is well watered beforehand. Fertilize in early spring after the last frost. Additional light feedings can benefit growth and flowering. Stop feeding in late summer.
Prune in late winter once the threat of extreme cold has passed. Remove one-third to two-thirds of the plant to stimulate new growth and flower production. You should remove any canes that are damaged, rubbing, or crossing. Make your cuts at 45 degree angles, about 1/4 inch above a bud that is facing toward the outside of the plant. Make sure to use sharp pruning shears.
Crimson Bouquet™ Rose Plant Spacing
This plant has a spread of about 4 feet. When planting, space Crimson Bouquet™ about 3-4 feet apart.
