Crowning Glory™ Princess Bride is a compact perennial that grows to 20 inches tall.
Originally native to South Africa, the Crowning Glory™ Princess Bride Pineapple Lily is a sun lover and is hardy in zones 6 to 9. It is a perfect early summer bloomer and is well suited to growing at the front of a border or in a container to add some wow factor. Known to attract butterflies when in flower.
Crowning Glory™ Princess Bride Pineapple Lily Care
The Crowning Glory™ Princess Bride Pineapple Lily will thrive in full sun to partial shade. When it comes to the soil conditions, this pineapple lily prefers a fertile and well-drained soil that is kept moist. To avoid overwatering, it is best to only water when the top layer of soil is dry. To encourage the best flowers, you can apply a balanced liquid feed every 2 weeks during bloom.
The Crowning Glory™ Princess Bride Pineapple Lily requires minimal pruning. All you need to do is cut back any yellowed foliage and old flowering stems. Container-grown specimens can be moved under cover to overwinter.
Crowning Glory™ Princess Bride Pineapple Lily Spacing
The Crowning Glory™ Princess Bride Pineapple Lily can reach a maximum size of 20 inches tall by 24 inches wide. To give its arching foliage room to grow, you can plant it at a spacing of around 2 feet.
