Thriller

The Dalaya® Raspberry Dahlia is one of the first annuals to flower in the spring, and its large, bicolored blooms are some of the last to fade in the fall. Also known as Dahlia x Dalaya® Raspberry, the flowers have rows and rows of petals in a rose-raspberry hue with hints of a blue undertone. The dark green leaves have wide-toothed edges.

This dahlia has an upright growth habit and a well-branched structure, resulting in a full and dense plant. The Dalaya® Raspberry Dahlia is a vigorous grower that looks amazing in a mixed bed or works as a thriller in a container. Feature this beauty in a border or the middle of a bed. Butterflies flock to the large flowers for added wildlife value.

Dalaya® Raspberry Dahlia Care

Place the Dalaya® Raspberry Dahlia in a spot that receives full sun. Dahlias can grow in part sun, but the plant will not bloom as prolifically. Rich, moist soil that allows drainage is ideal. Water weekly or when the top several inches of potting mix are dry. Fertilize every two weeks using balanced plant food.

Deadhead Dahlias to maintain a tidy look and promote more blooming. Removing faded flowers redirects energy into new flower production.

Dalaya® Raspberry Dahlia Spacing

The Dalaya® Raspberry Dahlia stands 12 to 16 inches tall and 12 to 14 inches wide. Space plants 12 to 14 inches apart to create a lush and full planting.
