Fully double, 3-4 inch pink-toned blooms sit above dark green foliage on this stunning dahlia. This medium-sized plant is a vigorous rebloomer with two blooming seasons. The first show is in the spring and then closes out the season in late summer up until a hard frost. Being a low maintenance, big performing plant, this dahlia deserves a spot in your garden.
Hailing from Mexico and Central America, dahlias are a great addition to a butterfly garden. Their uses in the landscape are almost limitless. Grande Cozumel is great as an upright thriller or filler in containers. If you have a spot in the garden that needs a specimen, Dalina Grande Cozumel is ready to be thrown in, and a mass planting would create a perfect sea of pink flowers.
Dalina® Grande Cozumel Dahlia Care
Plant Dalina Grande Cozumel in full sun (6+ hours daily) for best performance. Use an all-purpose, slow release fertilizer when planting in containers and landscape. Feed with a water-soluble flowering plant food every two weeks when planted in containers. Deadheading is not necessary for this dahlia to re-bloom, but it keeps the plant looking tidy.
Whether you are planting this Dahlia in the landscape or in containers, make sure the soil has good drainage and is friable. Grande Cozumel is a moderate water consumer, let the soil dry out slightly in between waterings for best results. Watch for thrips, whiteflies, aphids and powdery mildew throughout the season, treat if necessary.
Dalina® Grande Cozumel Dahlia Spacing
Dahlia Dalina Grande Cozumel reaches a height of 15-18 inches tall and has a spread of 12-18 inches. For best results space plants 10-18 inches apart when planting in beds. Using one Grand Cozumel plant in a 12 inch planter as a focal point will result in a full, beautiful container.
